David Eades

For the last three decades, David has worked as a frontline news anchor and correspondent for the BBC. He has held postings as Europe correspondent, Ireland correspondent, and senior sports news correspondent, covering many World Cups and Olympic Games.
He has also developed his ties with the sporting world, working with numerous international federations, the International Olympic Committee, SportAccord, and Special Olympics. He has hosted conferences for the UN–in sport, sustainability, gender equality, and climate change. David’s belief in the power of sport to effect social change has driven his work with Sport for Humanity, the Special Olympics, Football for Peace, as well as the Barcelona Foundation, among other like-minded organizations.
David is a board member of Sport For Humanity, and also sits on the board of the International Masters Games Association.
He is a fluent French speaker, a good German speaker, a keen golfer, and cyclist.
